Now Accepting Compositions! The Georgia Young Composers Festival (GYCF) is a composition contest open to high school and collegiate music composition students from the state of Georgia. It brings together the brightest new composers to introduce them and their works to today's audiences. Sponsored by the DeKalb Choral Guild, the GYCF provides these aspiring student composers a chance to work with an accomplished chorus, and it gives the public a chance to meet them and hear the latest music being produced in Georgia's high schools and colleges. Through this event, the DeKalb Choral Guild hopes to recognize the great talent present in our state, and thereby encourage the continuation and expansion of the choral arts.
